Life at The Phoenix House
Residents live in a six-bed home designed as a supportive learning community. They share double-occupancy bedrooms and take an active role in the daily life of the home. Responsibilities are individualized according to each resident’s age, abilities, and developmental needs and may include household chores, meal planning, managing a grocery budget, shopping for food, and preparing meals.
Not a facility. Not a unit. A home.
Warm spaces. Real furniture. Art on the walls. Rooms that feel lived in, not monitored. An environment that communicates safety, dignity, and worth the moment a youth walks in.
This is the foundation of our model: When youth feel valued, they grow.
Each resident participates in a structured program that includes:
Life skills and independent living development
Individualized coaching and skill-building
Workforce readiness and vocational exploration
Mentorship and community living
Civic engagement and service learning
Through shared responsibilities, structured support, and meaningful participation in the community, residents develop the practical skills, confidence, and everyday habits needed for greater independence in adulthood.
